Beautiful board and very intelligent AI. It still beats me 1/20 games and I think I am pretty good. I didnt know what Italian rules were but I like them WAY better than American. Option to play with American rules or first to lose is a great bonus ( the AI kicks my a** on those settings still). I wasnt a very good checkers player when I downloaded this, but after having this as the only source of entertainment on long flights/ layovers I have become a pretty decent player. Dont think about it, just download it! Still cant believe its free!

Spent many an evening and weekend playing, enjoying and keeping away from other vices. You learn from)4 better players the steps involved in planning, setting up your game, laying a trap, how skill is so much superior to brute force. The game is simple, easy to learn and yet so complex in scope and varied in technique.
